LEGO Astro Bot GWP: Free PlayStation Collectible With Qualifying Purchases
LEGO has a new gift with purchase for gaming fans: LEGO Astro Bot (40899), a 276-piece display model of the popular PlayStation character. The promotional set is available with qualifying LEGO purchases over £135 in the UK or $150 in the US, giving collectors an extra reason to consider an order.
Designed for adults, the build captures Astro Bot’s familiar blue-and-white appearance, complete with cape, blue propulsion jets and a display stand. Its head and arms are poseable, while interchangeable eyes let owners change the character’s expression. Including the stand, the model measures over 20 cm high.

Why this GWP could appeal to collectors
The attraction here goes beyond the usual LEGO audience. Astro Bot has a recognisable identity among PlayStation players, and the figure is designed to sit alongside gaming memorabilia rather than disappear into a larger build. That crossover appeal gives 40899 an interesting collector proposition, particularly for fans who want a standalone display piece.
From an investment perspective, the appeal is straightforward: a character-led promotional set can attract buyers who missed the original offer, while the qualifying purchase requirement limits how it can initially be obtained. However, we do not yet have comparable resale evidence for this particular LEGO and PlayStation crossover, so it would be premature to attach a future value or forecast a premium.
How to qualify for LEGO Astro Bot (40899)
The qualifying spend is over £135 on LEGO purchases in the UK or over $150 in the US. As with any gift-with-purchase promotion, check that Astro Bot appears in your basket before completing an order; availability and any additional conditions should be confirmed on LEGO.com. The offer runs from 1 to 7 October 2026, while stocks last, and applies to qualifying orders placed at LEGO.com, in LEGO Stores or by LEGO Catalogue telephone order.
For anyone already planning a LEGO purchase, this is an appealing extra: a distinctive, display-ready character with potential interest from two collector communities. We would regard the GWP as a worthwhile bonus rather than a reason on its own to spend beyond your original budget.
